For this project, I designed a series of book spreads using excerpts from Letters to a Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke. The work explores themes of self-identity and the idea of finding perfection within everyday imperfection through geometry-driven compositions.
I began by photographing overlooked moments and objects from daily life: quiet, curated scenes that reveal structure, precision, and beauty when closely observed. In parallel, I created collages and sketches from scanned images of John Hejduk floor plans, focusing on pure geometric forms. These two visual explorations were combined through bitmap treatments and formal alignment, creating a cohesive system that connects lived experience with idealized geometry across the spreads.
